These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the services provided by Longboat Key Movers, including but not limited to moving, packing, storage, and related services. By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and all applicable laws and regulations.

If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use our services. Longboat Key Movers reserves the right to modify, update, or change these Terms at any time without notice. Any changes to these Terms will be effective immediately upon posting on our website.

1. Services Provided

Longboat Key Movers offers a variety of moving and storage services, including but not limited to:

  • Local Moving: Short-distance residential and commercial moves within the local area.
  • Long-Distance Moving: Moving services for clients relocating to different states or regions.
  • Commercial Moving: Moving services designed for businesses, offices, and commercial properties.
  • Residential Moving: Full-service moving for households, including packing, loading, and unloading.
  • Storage Services: Secure and flexible storage options for both short-term and long-term needs.

Our company is committed to providing safe, reliable, and efficient moving services. Details of the services, pricing, and terms will be provided to the customer at the time of booking or agreement.

2. Booking and Payment

  • Booking Process: To book our services, customers must provide all necessary details, including the date, type of service, origin and destination addresses, and special requirements (if any). A contract outlining the services will be provided for review and acceptance.

  • Deposit: A deposit may be required upon booking to confirm the service. The deposit amount will vary depending on the type of service booked and is non-refundable once the service has been confirmed.

  • Payment: The full payment for services rendered is due upon completion of the move unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept various payment methods, including credit cards, checks, and bank transfers. Any late payments may incur additional fees.

  • Cancellation and Refund Policy: Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled service to receive a full refund of the deposit. Cancellations made within 48 hours may be subject to a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the total service fee. No refund will be provided after the move has commenced.

3. Customer Responsibilities

  • Access to Property: The customer is responsible for providing clear access to the moving area, including parking, stairways, elevators, and entrances. The customer must also inform us of any obstacles that may affect the move, such as narrow hallways, steep stairs, or excessive distance to the moving vehicle.

  • Personal Belongings: Customers are responsible for ensuring that all items to be moved are properly packed and ready for transport. Longboat Key Movers is not liable for damage to improperly packed items, and customers should notify us in advance if there are any fragile or valuable items that require special care.

  • Disallowed Items: The following items cannot be moved by Longboat Key Movers: hazardous materials, flammable items, firearms, explosives, perishable goods, and items prohibited by law. Customers are responsible for removing or properly disposing of these items before the move.

4. Liability and Insurance

  • Liability for Damaged Items: Longboat Key Movers takes reasonable precautions to ensure the safe handling and transportation of your belongings. However, we are not liable for damages that occur due to the customer’s failure to disclose fragile or valuable items or improper packing.

  • Insurance Coverage: Longboat Key Movers offers basic liability coverage for the value of the items moved. For higher-value protection, we offer additional insurance coverage at an extra cost. It is the customer’s responsibility to inform us of any high-value items and opt for additional insurance if desired.

  • Force Majeure: Longboat Key Movers is not responsible for delays or damages caused by circumstances beyond our control, such as natural disasters, severe weather, road closures, or other unforeseen events.

5. Storage Services

  • Storage Terms: For storage services, Longboat Key Movers will store your items in secure facilities for the agreed period. The customer is responsible for ensuring that items are packed appropriately for storage. We are not liable for any damage resulting from improper packing or long-term storage of sensitive items.

  • Access to Stored Items: Customers can access their stored items during business hours. Prior notice may be required to arrange access to large or bulky items. Storage fees are due monthly, and failure to pay will result in access restrictions or removal of items from storage.

  • Storage Liability: Longboat Key Movers will take all reasonable precautions to secure your items in storage. However, we are not liable for any theft, fire, or damage that occurs while your items are in storage, unless it is due to our negligence or breach of contract.

6. Indemnification

The customer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Longboat Key Movers, its employees, agents, and subcontractors from any claims, damages, liabilities, or expenses arising from the customer’s use of our services, including but not limited to damages to property or personal injury. This includes any damages or losses resulting from the customer’s failure to follow these Terms and Conditions.

7. Dispute Resolution

  • Arbitration: Any disputes between the customer and Longboat Key Movers that cannot be resolved through mutual agreement will be subject to binding arbitration. The arbitration will take place in [insert jurisdiction] and will be conducted by a neutral third party.

  • Governing Law: These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the state of Florida. Any disputes not subject to arbitration will be resolved in the courts of [insert jurisdiction].

  • Entire Agreement: These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between the customer and Longboat Key Movers. Any prior agreements, verbal or written, are superseded by this agreement.
